The cut off is Jan. 4th!!

Ok...so the latest rumor is that the next cut off is going to be Jan. 4th. This means that we are sure to be in the next referral batch.

I can't believe it's actually going to happen. Sometime next week we will see the face of our daughter!

Oh my goodness...we're going to be parents! I'm going to be a dad!!!!!!!

CAN YOU FEEL THE EXCITEMENT :)

2 MORE WEEKS?

Ok...it's getting really exciting now. We predict that in just 2 weeks we could be getting photos and information about Grace!
I can barely contain my self!

Today, on one of the Yahoo Groups we belong to, they posted a "Referral Call Sheet."
For those of you who don't know, this is a kind of checklist you keep in front of you when CCAI (the adoption agency) calls you with your child's information. It is so great, I am going to print some up and put one next to each of the phones in the house so that we are ready no matter what room we are in.

Of course I don't think I will be this calm.

Great Poem

DECEMBER 27th!

OK...I believe it to be true that the cut off for February is Dec. 27th. This means that a March referral is more then likely...more then possible!

We have declared February to be "clean up" month. Starting from the top floor we are cleaning out the closets, etc. of things we don't need and giving the house a good scrub down before March.

March will be "preparation month." This will be the time to make travel arrangements, prepare documents, gather and pack, etc.

All before April which will be "Gracie month." This is when we would expect to travel to China to bring home our little girl: HOW EXCITING! :)

This is the Year...

Ok...so it's a new year...this is the year! This is the year we will welcome Grace into our home forever.

CCAA has cleared through 12/19/05 for January. We could be getting our referral (pictures of our Grace) by March and travel to China April.

What a wonderful Easter gift! At the time of the year when new life is celebrated, I can not think of a better time to welcome Grace home.

As more information comes our way we will be posting more...and more...and more...

NEW update!

Ok...so they have now cleared Dec. 15th! This is great news because we are now even closer to seeing our Gracie!

Many in our Yahoo group have gotten their referrals now.

We had a fun weekend baby sitting two girls who were also adopted from China. What a treat...and great practice too. We look forward to baby sitting them again.
The younger one was even calling me dad some of the time...what a feeling hearing that!

Anyway, we are praying for a Feb. referral which means we will travel in March or April.

Keep the faith...we are getting closer :)

UPDATING:

Not much new to report.

A number of families in our Yahoo group have received matches and should be traveling to China and back by Christmas! This is so exciting and encouraging especially because we are that much closer.

CCAA has cleared through 12/08. This could mean that we will get a referral as early as Feb.

We had Thanksgiving with our good friends who have a 3 year old daughter who is our God daughter. They are by all accounts our family and so very thankful to have them in our lives. Their daughter is already saying that when Grace comes they can be sisters!
