Grace's fever seems to be gone but now she has a cold. She is sneezing and coughing and just miserable. This all started Tuesday night after her doctor visit. We called the doctor to see what we can give her and they told us that they do not recommend any medication for children under 2. Since Grace just seems so uncomfortable, we asked around and other parents said that Tylenol infant was OK. We tried some of that it seems to help a bit. Any other suggestions out there?
She is sleeping right now and wants to sleep most of the time which is probably good for her cold.
More later...

Our first fever
Grace did not sleep very well Tuesday night. This was almost expected because she had her second pediatrician appointment earlier that day and did not have a good night the first time. So she was making noises and rolling around. Phuong and I thought she was having nightmares but as it turns out, Grace got her first fever!
On Wednesday, Grace slept a lot and cried a lot. Phuong gave her a few baths to cool her down. Just before we put her to bed we gave her a very tiny bit of infant Tylenol which seemed to help.
This morning she seems better. Phuong is taking her to the pediatrician today for a follow up on the TB test and will discuss the fever with the doctor. Phuong did very well handling the fever...what a great mom Grace has.

Another Day in the life of Grace
Well, it's Memorial Day. A day of reflection and remembrance.
God bless all our service men and women who help maintain our freedoms and keep us safe!
In regards to remembrance, I remember when we were in China and Grace was still small. Well, she still is small but really growing.
Here are just some of the changes:
- She no longer fits the socks and some of the clothes that we have for her.
- She almost has in her two top front teeth (the bottom front two are already in)
- The drool factor stepped up a notch just today. I think it's because she is getting more teeth in.
- She is eating more solids...well, if you call baby food from a spoon "solid."
- She is eating Cheerios now and loves them.
- She can sit up on her own
- She can pull her self up
We also noticed that her hair is getting darker. It looked more brown while in China but it's a bit darker now and growing. Her hair still seems a bit thin but I am sure that will change with time.
Tomorrow she sees the pediatrician for the second time. Hopefully she does well but I predict Niagara Falls tears.
More photos and video to come.

More Photos, more fun!
Hi Everyone,
It's been difficult to get to post but here I am.
Grace is doing really well. She sits up on her own now with some wobbling and is starting to pull herself up to a standing position. No crawling yet however.
She is mumbling and making all kinds of sounds.
Here's the drill before we put her to bed:
- we feed her baby food while watching "Signing Times" or a Peter Gabriel concert. She really won't eat from the spoon without the TV playing her favorite DVDs. Sometimes she will but she gets fussy. We'll have to ween her off the TV as she gets older. She does not like the high chair so we put her in her walker during this time.
- Then it's play time for about 30 min.
- she eats a bit more (roughly 2 to 3 ounces) from her bottle.
- Bath time! Grace loves her bath. I guess she really does enjoy the water. We cannot wait to take her to the local pool when it opens. Daddy's excited to go swimming again as well!
- Mommy then puts lotion on Grace. Grace is not always happy about this but it makes a big difference.
- Bed Time. We play peek-a-boo with her blanket for a minute or two, she will roll around by herself or about 10 minutes, then it's off to baby time sleepy land.
What a real blessing Grace is. She is a very happy baby!
Here are some photos for you to enjoy:
"BED TIME ALREADY?"
"MOMMY AND ME"
"DADDY AND ME"
"YES, I AM VERY SERIOUS"
"I AM TOO CUTE!"

Here is Grace's doctor visit in Guangzhou. She cried when they were trying to examine her. I got it all on video so she can enjoy it again later :) The lady in the second picture is Kathy, one of our Reps in Guangzhou. Sorry for the grainy photos. These were taken with my video camera. It takes great video but crappy photos
Park in Guangzhou near our hotel
Shopping with Wade and Alice and their baby Lily. We bought Grace's blue dress here...tough bargain :)
Thai restaurant with the group. We miss all you guys very much!
Great store in Guangzhou...all money goes to a children's charity
