The next morning.
OK...one full night in Tainan. We have been up since 2 AM Tiawan time. The weather is over cast and humid.
Breakfast was really good too! Grace enjoyed noodles and watermellon (her favorite foods) and we had our share of everthing else. Very good!
Time is going by fast.
We plain to do some light shopping and city viewing today. We might go see a temple and other areas. It's interesting travleing this time by ourselves with no guide.
Tomorrow we go to St. Lucy's in the morning and see Joy for the very first time :)and bring her with us. We have been preparing Grace for some time now so we will see how she does tomorrow. We will spend most of the day there and travel to Taipei again in the afternoon. Our lives will be changing again tomorrow...stay tuned.

We made it to Tainan
We are now in Tainan!
While in Taipei we stayed at a nice hotel very near the airport. It was not over crowded ut maye that's because we arrived so late at night. I could not figure out how to call the hotel for the free shuttle...the line was always busy...so we took a 4 min. taxi ride.
After we checked out of that hotel we took a taxi to the Fullon Hotel in Taipei. This is the hotel we will be staying at after we return to Taipei with Joy. We dropped off one bag of luggage so that we would not need to carry all of our luggage to Tainan.
We then went to eat at the famouse dumpling resturant in Taipei. Grace did very well and the food was good. It did not look like much from the outside but inside was nice and the service was really good.
Right after lunch we hailed a taxi to take us to the high speed train station in Taipei. This train would take us to out present location in Tainan. It was a very cfortale 1 and 45 min ride Grace got a little cranky but maye that's because she was tired.
The cab ride took about 30 min. and cost about $350 in Taiwan money. I am not sure if we got ripped off because other cab rides of equal ot longer distance did not seem to cost as much. Oh, well.
So much for rain. It is hot and humid here although it looks like it will rain aybe tomorrow.
The hotel we are at in Tainan is beautiful. We are not used to this kind of service. Our roo is on the executive floor and I a using a coputer in their Horizon Club. I feel under dressed and totally unworthy of this kind of treatment :)
The room is very nice. We forgot to bring diapers for Grace...we left them in Taipei. When I asked the hotel where I could buy some they had someone send them up to our room...wild!
Anyway, tomorrow is a "free" day. The last day we will be a family of 3. We will site-see a bit. This is Joy's home town, or at least very close to it, so we want to take any photos and bring home some items for her when she gets older as well.

Made it to Taiwan
Well, we made it to Taiwan. It was a long flight but Grace did really well. We are all a bit tired. Except for Grace who slept on the plane. It's around 12 AM in Taipei now.
Off to Tainan tomorrow on the high speed train.

TODAY'S THE DAY!
Well, today is the day we head out. Grace is on my lap as I type this posting. We have been drilling her to prepare her for this trip, telling her that we are going on a big plane and will be bringing home her sister.
It's so cute...she says, "big airplane and sit and quiet and TV." Hope she does well on the flight.
We are all very excited to see Joy for the first time. It's going to be an amazing experience for all.

Headed to Taiwan
Well, after some interesting few days of not know whether we would be leaving this week for Taiwan...finally it's confirmed! Here we come Joy!

A few more days and we will be going to bring home Joy!
Our flights are booked for Thursday. Yes, we are taking Grace. She is being well prepared though. We tell her regularly that we are going on a plane to bring home her sister. She is getting very excited too!
Our hotel is booked in Taipei for when we arrive, but we still need to book our other hotels.
Still no word on out I171H.
Weather in Taiwan calls for rain the whole time we are there, but we wil make the best of it :)
Much packing and preparing to do and we leave in 5 days!
